Geneva, IL, April 8, 2021 – ClearFlame Engine Technologies, a startup dedicated to the development of clean engine technology for the commercial truck, off-highway and industrial markets announced today that Kirk Roller has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. Kirk will guide the company’s continued growth in key market sectors and solidify industry partnerships while also supporting its regulatory strategy.

With more than 35 years in the renewable energy and high-tech industries, Kirk has diverse experience providing business strategy and guidance to startups and early-stage companies. Most recently, he served as a consultant for Hyliion and Terminus AI, where he led business development and regulatory compliance.
Prior to his consulting role, Kirk held leadership positions in sales and marketing at Hyliion, Cenergestic and CommScope. Before that, he led sales and business development efforts for the solar industry, supporting building management and infrastructure development. He also served as president and COO for Emulex, a computer hardware company, where he grew the company’s market cap from $30 million to a $7 billion. He began his career in sales at Thomas-Conrad and Compaq Computer.

Kirk earned a BBA in business administration and management from the University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as chairman of the board of the Discovery Science Center Southern California.
